September 18-25, 2004

The Unsinkable Russian National Orchestra sets off on its 2004 Volga River Cruise: Great Music in the Heart of Russia

RNO fans from Japan and Germany flew to Russia specially for the Volga Tour. "A tremendous tour!" said Keiko Kuwahara (in photos, on right, with Rie Fuessel). "I plan to return again next year."

Rehearsals took place regularly on board the ship, and guests were welcome to listen in.

But there was also time for rest and relaxation.

Young musicians Philip Kopachevsky and Yuri Revich performed as soloists in concert with the RNO. Support for the musical gifts of Russia's youngest musicians is a big part of the RNO's Magic of Music program.
