Upcoming Recordings
Lisa Delan returns to Skywalker Sound this summer for two new recordings:
- In a project developed in collaboration with Luna Pearl Woolf and Matt Haimovitz, Lisa is joined by Uccello, Frederica von Stade, Sanford Sylvan, Daniel Taylor and Zheng Cao, as well as virtuoso mandolinists Mike Marshall and Caterina Lichtenberg in new arrangements by Luna Pearl Woolf, Lewis Spratlan and David Sanford. The result is a one of a kind Lullaby CD of songs woven together by an enchanting story by magical author Cornelia Funke written especially for this recording.
- Lisa and Kristin Pankonin complete their highly anticipated follow up to "And If the Song be Worth a Smile", joined by guest artists Matt Haimovitz and Sir James Galway. The recording begins this summer with songs by William Bolcom and Gordon Getty, and concludes in 2012 with songs by John Corigliano as well as new works written for the soprano by Jake Heggie, Luna Pearl Woolf and David Garner.
In September 2011, Lisa sang the role of "Madeline" in a new recording of the Getty opera "Usher House" with the Gulbenkian Symphony conducted by Lawrence Foster. The opera features tenor Christian Elsner, baritone Etienne Dupuis and bass Phillip Ens and will be released on PentaTone Classics in 2012.
